Left San Fran in fog, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and took Hwy 101 to Hwy 1. As on Hwy 1 south of San Fran, the northern section of the hwy tends to follow the coastline. I had taken this route earlier in my trip but decided to give Ruth a chance to see the beautiful vistas along the way. Mounted the video camera on the motorcycle so that I could get capture the feel of some of the roads and scenery. In some places my concentration must be entirely on the road so the video camera may allow me to see some things that I missed. Stopped at one Vista where Ruth saw some whales. Got my camera out and with full zoom was ready to get some shots but they didn't cooperate.Had a snack at the Deli in Point Reyes Station and continued on to Joan and Paul's in Mendocino.
