However trip started off at 15C/59F and ended at 19C/66F.
Paul and Jonah set out to pick up Molly and visit Paul's friend before catching their flight in the afternoon. Joan and Ruth left shortly after and everyone except me was gone before 7:00.
I headed north later in the morning, after taking a few pictures in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area, on my trip north up the Pacific coast.
My trip as far as Eureka was a repeat of the trip Ruth and I has made earlier in the week so rather than site-seeing I enjoyed the ride. From Eureka to Crescent City was new territory. Saw signs warning of Elk crossings but only saw them in one place and thank God they weren't crossing. At Orick there was a whole heard of elk right beside the road so I pulled a u-turn to go back and get a few pictures before continuing on to my stop for the night.
Cooked dinner at my campsite and washed it down with a Red Tail Ale - an amber produced by the Mendocino Brewing Co. in Ukiah, CA
