Jim took us out on his boat for the afternoon. I was given a tour of the area by Jim and Rick and learned quite a bit about the history, logging and mills in the sea area around the harbour in Ladysmith.Jim tried his luck at fishing but only caught a sea cucumber, starfish and a very small fish that even my zoom lens couldn't make much bigger. Jim endured many comments about his fishing prowess, or lack thereof, from Rick and I. Rose tried to bail him out when we got back to their place but since we haven't seen him have any success, we weren't buying any of it.
